I've read about a few people who have given away ebooks for free. The concept is to bring people in by giving them something of extreme value i.e. information they want and/or need. The free ebooks becomes the carrot to make money online.
I'll use the same concept except I'll create a number of short niche specific reports on how to make money online. While one of my goals is to make money online using these special reports, I'm interested in building my reputation and credibility with the global market on how to make money on the Internet. I view the special reports as bite size candy, giving people just enough to want more. This is a full scale experiment. I'll measure my success not merely on how much money I make online, but how far reaching the special reports go.
Ok, I'm getting a little off track here. I'll put links within the special reports to sites and/or blogs where visitors can download other products and services I offer that teaches them to make money online. Another goal is to build a stable following of readers where we can create and sustain an online community of people from all walks of life who are interested in exchanging information on how we can make money online no mater what our primary field or industry is.

How to Make Money Online?
You make money online the same way you make money offline, you sell something or give something away for free in hopes of obtaining significant traffic to your website or blog then you sell advertisement space.
Traditionally, you would sell a product or service. On the Internet you could sell a product, service or information in the form of digital content. You could create (acquire) and sell original content (information) in the form of an mp3 download, audio book, ebook, special report, video or podcast to make money online. The Internet allows you to sell and make money online without having to interact in person. Better yet by selling online you could have a store that never closes.
While selling an mp3 download, audio book, ebook, special report, video or podcast is a great way to make money online you could give away the information to entice visitors to frequent your site. By giving something away for free, your site or blogs traffic could increase significantly overtime, making it ideal for companies and other individuals to advertise, ultimately adding another way for you to make money online.
I use this method with this and other blogs I maintain. Essentially, I give you valuable information, resources and links to help you make money online. While myspace has been a great way to promote for many and make money for some, it’s not really your or my space. What this means is you want to aquire links from sites and blogs that are related to yours that rank high in search engines, themselves have a significant number of inbound links and a wealth of content. By getting a significant number of highly qualified inbound links to your website or blog you’ll dramatically improve the chances of your sites listing high with search engines and directories, thereby boosting your site or blogs unique visitors or traffic.
The more unique visitors you have the greater the chances someone will buy a product or service from your site in which you are an affiliate member. In the end, by you providing excellent content, resources and links for your sites' visitors, you greatly improve your opportunities to make money online.

Make Money Online as an Affiliate
In addition to the other revenue sources mentioned in previous blogs, affiliate programs are another way you can make money online. Here is a quick link source to previous blogs with ways to make money online.
An affiliate program is a profit sharing opportunity. Typically affiliate programs are fully (100%) commissioned based. Meaning you only get paid when you make money online. Here’s how affiliate programs usually work.
- You sign up as an affiliate member.
- You received a unique link code (html).

Make Money Online with Your RSS Feed
Syndicating your blog using an rss or atom feed is a spectacular way to ensure your readers remain loyal; you build your brand and painlessly market your message in your pursuit to make money online.
An rss or atom feed sort of works like an opt-in email list in that readers must subscribe to your feed in order to receive it. One of the major benefits and differences between a feed and an opt-in in email list is whenever you update (add new content) your blog everyone that subscribes to your feed is automatically notified. Make Money Online Network Marketing
Some people quickly shy away from network marketing for a multitude of reasons. I imagine most people don’t like the thought of the “if you don’t work, you don’t eat” reality of how network marketing works. Many folks would much rather get a regular paycheck. Nor do they like the thought of having to constantly talk to strangers. The Internet has made network marketing a bit more doable for people who fear talking to strangers face to face at least in theory.

Case and point. I got involve with a network marketing program for a few reasons. One reason is that this particular program was related to one of my long time industries, the music business. This program offered artist multiple revenue stream earning potential outside of merely selling their mp3 downloads as in the case with most digital distribution retail store websites. More importantly this network marketing company/program was web based and was directly tied into the music business. Effectively, I could make money online in the music business, while I sleep, play or work somewhere else. I could also build a downline (team) online. This means I’d get paid a percentage when my team members make money online or off.
Because of my existing involvement in the music business. I’ve been able to integrate my network marketing company into my existing systems making residual/passive income utilizing my intellectual properties.
I will admit I have not made a ton of money thus far. I’ve made back my initial investment and continue to generate enough passive income where the business is at least paying for itself thus far. I’ve been in for about nine months. I have not done all that I could do to make this business more profitable, but it is all a learning experience.
